Age Verification Policy

Our products contain THC. Federal and state law — and our own conscience — require that we sell only to adults 21 years of age or older. This page explains how we verify that, and what we do if someone tries to get around it.

The age requirement

You must be at least 21 years old to:

Not 18. Not 20. Not "almost 21." Twenty-one. This is non-negotiable, and it's the same standard the federal government and most state hemp programs apply to THC products.

How we verify your age

We verify in two places — at checkout and on delivery. Both have to pass.

1. At checkout

Before you can complete a purchase, you'll:

Confirm under penalty of perjury that you are 21 years of age or older
Provide a billing address that matches your payment method
In some cases — first-time orders, high-value orders, or orders flagged for review — be asked to upload a photo of a valid government-issued ID and, occasionally, a selfie for a third-party verification service to match against

Our verification provider checks the document against public and commercial age records. If anything doesn't add up, we'll either ask for a different ID or cancel the order and refund you.

2. On delivery

Every order requires an adult signature (21+) at the door. The carrier — UPS, FedEx, or USPS depending on your address — will ask the person accepting the package to present a government-issued photo ID. If no one 21 or older is present, the package will not be left. The carrier will attempt redelivery, then hold the package for pickup, then return it to us if it goes unclaimed.

Accepted IDs

For both checkout verification (when requested) and delivery verification, the carrier and our team accept:

State-issued driver's license
State-issued non-driver ID card
US passport or US passport card
Military ID (CAC or uniformed services ID)
Permanent resident card

The ID must be unexpired and clearly show the bearer's date of birth, photograph, and full name. Photocopies, photos of an ID on a phone screen, and any ID we believe to be fake or altered will be refused.

If verification fails

If we can't confirm you're 21+ — at any point in the process — we'll:

Cancel the order
Refund the full amount, including shipping
Flag the account so it doesn't go through again without manual review

We won't charge you, lecture you, or share your information. We just won't ship.

Misrepresenting your age

If we determine that someone provided false information, used another person's identity, or otherwise misrepresented their age to place an order, we will:

Cancel the order and any future orders from the same account, payment method, or shipping address
Retain the right to keep funds for any product already shipped, to cover our costs
Cooperate with law enforcement if fraud or identity theft is involved

This isn't a gotcha policy. It's how we stay licensed, how we keep our doors open, and how we make sure our products don't end up in the wrong hands.

Gifting

You can absolutely send DesireNest as a gift — but the recipient must also be 21 or older, and they'll need to show ID on delivery the same as anyone else. Please don't ship our products to a minor's address, even if the recipient you have in mind is an adult who lives there. The signature comes from whoever opens the door.

Parental and household responsibility

If you live with anyone under 21, please store our products somewhere they can't access them. THC beverages can look like ordinary canned drinks, and accidental consumption by a minor is a medical concern. Our Consumer Advisories page has the relevant emergency contacts.

State-by-state restrictions

Some states prohibit the sale or shipment of hemp-derived THC products entirely, regardless of the buyer's age. We do not ship to those states under any circumstances. See our Shipping Policy for the current restricted list.

How we handle your ID

If you upload an ID during verification, it is processed by a secure third-party service. We don't keep a copy of your driver's license image on our servers. The verification result — pass or fail, plus your verified date of birth — is the only thing stored against your account, and only for as long as it's needed for compliance and fraud prevention. Reporting underage access

If you believe someone underage has obtained our products, or has tried to, please tell us. Email support@livingdesire.store with whatever details you can share. We take every report seriously, we investigate, and we act on it. Anonymous reports are welcome.

Why we're strict about this

Selling THC to a minor — knowingly or carelessly — is illegal, harmful, and unacceptable. The brains of people under 21 are still developing, and THC has documented effects on that development. We'd rather lose a sale than risk a kid. We've all met people who started using things too young. We don't want to be part of that story for anyone.

If our verification feels like a hassle, we get it. It exists for good reason.

Changes to this policy

State and federal laws around hemp and THC change frequently. We update this policy when they do. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will always reflect the most recent version.
